A menu translator that also tells you what to order
Point your camera at any menu, in any language. Forkiee reads it, tells you what each dish actually is, checks every one against your allergies and your diet, and then tells you what to order.
How it works
Snap the menu
Printed menus, handwritten boards and screens, in any language.
Understand every dish
Forkiee answers in your language and explains a dish you have never heard of in one sentence, with a photo where there is one.
Order with confidence
It tells you what to order and hands you the sentence to say to the waiter, in the local language, with the translation.
More than a translation
A translation gives you the words. Forkiee also checks every dish against your allergies, traces included, plus intolerances, diets and goals, and it takes follow-up questions the way a person would: something lighter, no nuts, more protein.
Built around how you eat
Peanut, tree nut, milk, egg, fish, shellfish, soy, wheat and sesame, with traces handled separately. Gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian, vegan, pescatarian, halal, kosher, keto, low carb and low FODMAP. High protein, fewer calories, less sugar, whatever you are working toward.
An allergy card in nine languages
Show the kitchen a card that says exactly what you cannot eat, in English, Dutch, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Turkish or Japanese.
After dinner
Photograph the bill and Forkiee splits it, down to who ordered what. Keep the table in your Taste Passport, with your own photo of the plate.
Questions people ask
Which languages does the menu translator read?
Any language, on printed menus, handwritten boards and screens. Forkiee answers you in your own language, and the app runs in nine: English, Dutch, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Turkish and Japanese.
Is it just a translation app?
No. It also tells you what each dish actually is, checks every dish against your allergies and diet, picks the dish that fits you and gives you the sentence to say to the waiter.
How much does Forkiee cost?
Forkiee Pro is $39.99 a year, with a 7-day free trial where your Apple Account is eligible, or $9.99 a month. Prices vary by country. Forkiee runs on iPhone with iOS 17.6 or later.
Can I rely on it for a severe allergy?
Use it to know what to ask, not instead of asking. Forkiee reads what a menu says and what a dish usually contains, but kitchens change and recipes vary, so always confirm allergens with the restaurant staff.
